Improving Lives through Science at 3M
We believe that science makes lives easier, better and more complete. We apply science to improve lives and build sustainable communities through social investments and engagement of 3Mers worldwide. We support initiatives in areas such as education, community vibrancy and environment to provide solutions to some of humanity’s greatest challenges.
3M Singapore has supported the annual 3M Moves @ South East in partnership with the South East Community Development Council since 2013. This fitness-and-charity program rallies the community to exercise together to raise 3M products for those in need. Since 2013, 3M has donated over S$1.4 million of products to 28,700 beneficiaries.
In Singapore, 3M has a diverse ecosystem of partnerships to advance STEM education which also reaches out to the under-resourced and underrepresented groups. We believe in an equitable and inclusive world, so we think, work, and act to drive meaningful change that endures. These initiatives increase students’ interest in science through fun and interactive experiences that bring science to life. Since 2007, more than 600 3M volunteers have engaged 10,000+ students through the 3M Science Outreach Program and collaborations with partners such as Ministry of Education, School of Science and Technology, Science Centre Singapore and United Women Singapore.
