At FedEx, our mission is to connect the world responsibly and resourcefully. CSR is a key part of our commitment, as we leverage our global footprint and operations to give back to society. Through the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, FedEx has continued its work as an essential service provider by delivering mission-critical shipments safely and reliably to communities within the region. Through our extensive network, we have transported nearly 14,000 COVID-19 humanitarian aid shipments and critical supplies like pharmaceuticals, personal protective equipment (PPE), and COVID-19 vaccines across the world.
Additionally, we continue to reinforce our commitment to giving back to the community by nurturing entrepreneurs and business leaders of tomorrow. In collaboration with Junior Achievement (JA) Asia Pacific, FedEx hosts the annual FedEx/JA International Trade Challenge, an initiative that fosters entrepreneurship and international business acumen in aspiring students across Asia Pacific. As part of our global community engagement program FedEx Cares, we have also invested in various community outreach initiatives – consistent with the FedEx Cares 50 by 50 goal to positively impact 50 million people around the world by our 50th anniversary in 2023.
