In 2021, due to the safe management restriction brought about by the COVID situation, we need to change our approach in CSR effort but still strive to support the community around us. Below are examples of our CSR activities.
1. World Vision X Kemin: Kemin partnered with World Vision, to build an energy efficient (for sustainability) water facilities for children in Mongolia. Kemin recognized that we need to help the vulnerable groups to have access to the basic human needs for survival.
2. Donation to Children Cancer Foundation: Kemin had reached out to Children Cancer Foundation with corporate donations. Their beneficiaries’ age ranges from new-born baby to teens and the organization operates solely based on individuals and corporate donations. Kemin decided to support CCF in view that they also provide Counselling and therapeutic play for the beneficiaries which we believe is important but neglected aspects of cancer treatments. The fact that CCF also focuses on mental wellbeing of the beneficiaries is in line with Kemin’s direction that mental wellbeing is important within the organization.
3. Donation to HCA Hospice: Kemin also reached out to Hospice for donation. Patients in last stage of their lives got to participate in events and activities as part of the Day Hospice Services, and all these services are available to the patients free-of-charge. Kemin is aligned with Hospice’s vision that dignity and joy should be preserved for all including those terminally ill patients.
4. Collaboration with Key Business Partner: Kemin collaborated with our key distributor (Lautan Luas) in Indonesia to build school in rural areas. We believe that it is important that we collaborate with key business partner outside normal business.
