Citi’s approach to corporate citizenship is defined by its Mission and Value Proposition - Enabling Growth and Progress. We strive to embed corporate citizenship across the breadth and depth of our businesses and operations.

This integrated approach – thinking about Citi’s impact, as a company, on clients, communities and our people, guides our actions and decisions. Citi’s citizenship initiatives in Singapore gives us the social mandate to do business in the community where we live and work. Citi has made over S$ 25 million worth of social investments (as of 2022) in Singapore since 2002 through Citi Foundation grants.

Citi Singapore currently has 6 Citi Foundation programs, partnering universities and community organisations to enhance financial literacy, as well as youth empowerment and employability.

These partnerships have kept us connected to key government stakeholders such as the Monetary Authority of Singapore, Ministry of Culture, Community & Youth, National Youth Council, Ministry of Social & Family Development, National Council of Social Service, National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre, Ministry of Sustainability and Environment, and the Ministry of Manpower.

Through these programmes, we have trained over 13,000 teachers, 1,200 tertiary students, 600 social work practitioners in financial literacy, benefited more 340,000 students, 75,000 tertiary young adults, and 6,000 mature women, and mobilised over 170,000 volunteers for the social service sector.
