As a purpose-driven organization, we are guided by our mission to improve human health by unlocking the power of the genome. We take action through our CSR program, which is directly tied to our business strategy, by expanding access to genomics, empowering our communities, integrating sustainability, nurturing our people, and operating responsibly. Highlights from our global CSR program last year, include:
• 1 billion lives covered for genomic testing
• $11M in-kind donations supporting implementation of the Pathogen Genomics Initiative
• 30,000 medical education learners reached • In 2021, announced $120M committed to launch iHopeTM Genetic Health, a partnership with Genetic Alliance to increase patient access to genomics globally. In 2022 announced expansion of iHope in China with March of Dimes partner
• $18M total donations globally • 50% global employee participation in giving and volunteer programs and 58% increase in Singapore from 2019 baseline
• 1 million STEM learners reached (since 2019)
• $1 million donated to sustainability and environmental justice initiatives
• 5,400 participants in employee resource group programming
Last year, in Singapore, close to 3,812 hours and more than USD200,000 have been donated by Illumina and the Singapore employees to various charities to support their work in addressing the need gaps in the community. Singapore participation in giving and volunteering has increased 63% from pre-covid levels.
