In 2022, Dow focused on helping low-income women gain employment, supporting low-income families through food donation and distribution, ensuring an environment that is clean and free from plastic waste, and inspiring our future generations to innovate and solve challenges.
Collaborating with Daughters of Tomorrow, Dow supported an 8-week confidence curriculum to help 20 low-income women upskill and prepare themselves for the workforce.
Dow volunteers created IT modules to help these women gain confidence in navigating IT at work. The IT training will run on April 2023. Partnering Yong-en Care Center, Dow employees organized two food donation and distribution drives where employees donated, packed and distributed food supplies to 140 low-income families living in the Chinatown area.
In May, Dow organized a 125-pax clean up activity at Pasir Ris park and over a span of two hours, removed close to 130kg of waste from the beach.
In September, Dow volunteers got onto kayaks and clean up the Marina Bay area. In December, 20 Dow employees participated in the Run for Inclusion event and ran side-by-side with the disabled, including the visually impaired, intellectually disabled, hearing impaired and physically challenged.
We continue to work with tertiary institutions in STEM programs that focus on innovation and solving today’s problems.
