At J.P. Morgan, we support programs that advance an inclusive economy for all.
In Singapore, our grants help youth gain the skills they need to be ready for jobs of the future. The firm currently supports two organizations to encourage young females to pursue studies or careers in the STEM fields.
Our grant to United Women Singapore provides 150 women in institutes of technical education with company visits, job readiness skills building, mentoring, and internships.
Working with Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), we designed a program, Career Connect, whereby around 80 staff provided mentoring and career awareness talks to 100 female secondary school students; these students also received design innovation training from SUTD and its partners.
Aside from our philanthropic donations, employees also give back through volunteering.
In 2022, over 1,100 staff volunteered more than 5,700 hours with 30 partners across 60 events on topics like the elderly, animals, and migrant workers among others. Highlights include: an activity with New Hope Community Services and Transit Points where 153 staff cleaned and painted homeless shelters, the LoveOurSeniors program with SATA CommHealth where 72 staff provided healthcare assistance to seniors in addition to distributing goodie bags to them, and an event with Meals on Wheels and Willing Hearts Singapore where 143 staff cooked, prepared, packed, and delivered meals to underserved members of the community.
