Edwards Lifesciences Singapore (ELS) conducts their CSR program on an annual basis. The program is part of ELS planning & a significant budget is allocated to ensure proper funding. A series of events are organized & planned for each year, with leadership oversight in line with the Edwards culture of Patients First mentality.
For long-term partnership, ELS works closely with the SINGAPORE HEART FOUNDATION (SHF) to hold the annual Go Red for Women event. Aside from donations, we also include SHF merchandise sales. The event was a huge success in terms of outreach, with ELS foundation matching every dollar donated.
ELS led a sustainability event with a BEACH CLEANUP at East Coast Park. A significant amount of trash was collected, mostly in the form of cigarette butts, plastics & sweet wrappers.
In the same month, ELS launched a blood donation drive in partnership with the SINGAPORE BLOOD BANK, securing 100 doners.
RISE AGAINST HUNGER, is a food packing event for the underprivileged. The partnering organization provides the rations, while ELS provides the manpower & venue. The goal was to secure 80,000 packs of rations for the people of Timor Leste. With enthusiastic support, the ELS volunteers achieved the target.
Finally, ELS constantly work to support the underserved in Singapore through Blossom World Society (BWS). Some of the tasks include decluttering of flats & repainting walls. This initiative raises for single elderlies who live alone without any family support.
