The emERGE—Empowering Education in Diabetes Best Practices & Technologies program, launched by embecta in partnership with Diabetes Singapore and ADES, aims to enhance diabetes care through continuous education for healthcare professionals (HCPs). Conceptualized in Singapore, it has expanded to Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, India, Pakistan, Japan, South Korea, Australia, and New Zealand.
With global diabetes cases projected to reach 783 million by 2045, there is an urgent need to equip HCPs with up-to-date knowledge and best practices. The program offers CME/CPD-accredited webinars and multilingual resources for general practitioners, diabetes nurse educators, pharmacists, and dietitians. Over 10,000 HCPs have joined sessions covering insulin delivery, nutrition, mental health, and digital health technologies.
Accredited by 10 medical societies across Malaysia, the Philippines, Japan, and Singapore, emERGE ensures localized engagement and ongoing professional development.
At the Singapore launch event, Guest of Honor Ms. Low Yen Ling, Minister of State for Trade and Industry and Culture, Community and Youth, highlighted the importance of comprehensive diabetes strategies. embecta also introduced the ”100 Tips for Better Diabetes Management” booklet, available for free download, offering practical insights on diabetes care.
emERGE reflects embecta’s commitment to improving patient outcomes by equipping HCPs with accessible, evidence-based resources.
