Marina Bay Sands, through its community engagement programme Sands Cares, has been committed to Singapore’s development beyond economic and tourism goals. It leverages its unique property offerings, philanthropic funding, capacity-building efforts and the volunteerism of its 12,000-strong workforce to support communities in need.
In 2025, Marina Bay Sands organised 70 community events, impacting more than 41,000 beneficiaries. Guided by its four key pillars, Sands Cares delivered diverse programmes addressing social needs across Singapore. Initiatives included befriending seniors through trishaw rides around Marina Bay, mentoring disadvantaged students to facilitate early career exploration, supporting vocational training for persons with disabilities, and organising a fireside chat for youth golfers with international golf star and Sands’ female ambassador Minjee Lee.
Unifying with Sands’ properties to address core priorities, Marina Bay Sands rallied Team Members to build 30,000 hygiene kits and 6,000 food kits to support disadvantaged communities. The 11th edition of its flagship event, Sands for Singapore Charity Festival, featured innovative fundraising activities to inspire charitable giving among the public.
Marina Bay Sands’ Team Members contributed over 13,000 volunteer hours in 2025, bringing the total volunteer hours contributed since opening to over 133,000 hours.
