We have embarked on a multi-phase CSR journey since 2021 with our efforts covering 3 main pillars:
1. A&G for Climate Change: We were the first law firm in South-east Asia to be admitted as a signatory to the UNGC in 2021. Our policies and practices are shaped by its Ten Principles, including those relating to the environment. To develop a culture of sustainability amongst our staff, we held our third Climate Action week in November 2024. The week-long initiative kicked off with our first ever Waterways Clean-Up Day, where almost 100kg of litter were collected. This was followed by a textile collection drive, where approximately 238kg of textiles were collected and recycled to needy families and individuals in our community.
2. A&G in the Community: Our lawyers have acted in cases under the Criminal Legal Aid Scheme/Family Justice Support Scheme/Legal Aid Bureau/Legal Assistance Scheme for Capital Offences. They also serve in leadership positions in key charities and agencies engaged in access to justice, including Pro Bono SG. Additionally, every lawyer is committed to dedicating at least 24 hours annually to pro bono and community work.
3. A&G on Campus: We are committed to nurturing the next generation of legal minds and have pledged S$1 million to the Faculty of Law at NUS and the Yong Pung How School of Law of SMU. The pledge will be used to support scholarships and academic and career development programmes, e.g., book prizes/mooting competitions/career workshops.
