Globally, our organization’s CSR program is led by Social Impact, BlackRock’s philanthropic arm. Social Impact has two distinct pillars – (i) The BlackRock Foundation, and (ii) our employee engagement programs which enable employees to drive local impact and address the needs of our communities.

The BlackRock Foundation was established in 2020, which aims to broaden our firm’s philanthropic investments in economic mobility, financial resiliency and sustainability globally. We also empower our employees in BlackRock Singapore to drive impact in our local communities.

These efforts are driven by the BlackRock GIVES network, which is an employee-led committee comprising individuals across all functions who are committed to making a positive impact in the local community.

BlackRock GIVES awards local non-profits nominated by the office, with grants ranging in size from $5,000 - $25,000. In 2022, we supported nine beneficiaries in Singapore across a wide range of causes, including children, women empowerment, environment and disabilities. BlackRock also supports causes employees care about, which includes matching up to $10,000 annually for each employee’s donations or volunteer hours.

BlackRock GIVES also provides regular opportunities for our employees to volunteer with beneficiaries and organizations of their choice. We continue to build a strong network with our local charity partners and organizations.
