In 2023, BNY defined the next phase of our philanthropy strategy to build on our accomplishments developing the workforce of the future – steer our philanthropic investments to programs and organizations that can create more equitable access to the financial tools and services necessary for everyone to participate in the mainstream financial system. In Singapore, our strategic engagements have included work with Aidha, a charitable organization dedicated to empowering migrant domestic workers through financial literacy and entrepreneurship programs. 87% of students who completed the financial education program funded by BNY and delivered through Aidha in Singapore increased their monthly savings, and the average savings increase across all students was 47% from $130 to $192. To strengthen the pipeline of future leaders, BNY delivered extensive course offerings/mentorship programs for young students through our collaboration with ’Inspiring Girls’, playing a pivotal role in driving financial education. We have collaborated with Junior Achievement – Singapore, to implement ’Be Entrepreneurial’ program, that focuses on equipping high school students with essential work readiness skills, building a more inclusive and dynamic workforce for the future. Since 2024, BNY has actively participated in NVPC’s Great Singapore Give campaign and is applying for Company of Good recognition in 2025.
Our philanthropy efforts focus on environmental sustainability and community food banks.
