Citi’s CSR philosophy is anchored on enabling progress in the communities we work and live in. Citi colleagues, alumni, families and friends dedicate their time and skills through events year-round to make this happen.
Our flagship celebration of volunteering occurs throughout June, affectionately known as Global Community Day (GCD). In 2024, we mobilized 640+ volunteers to participate in 40 GCD events, spreading joy among 1,500+ beneficiaries. Flanking GCD, Citi has completed more than 20 CSR activities throughout the year.
Citi was the Global Partner of the Para Swimming World Series for the second consecutive year. From 17-19 May 2024, the World Series came to Singapore and 80+ Citi volunteers partnered with Singapore Disability Sports Council to facilitate a key event in the lead up to the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.
Association of Banks in Singapore Community Marketplace on 8 June had 110 Citi staff distributing food and household items to 400+ low-income families in two locations. Citi joined Volunteers and Senior Representatives from six other Domestic Systemically Important Banks to kick-off the event with Member of Parliament Liang Eng Hwa.
Our final event for GCD saw Citi calling on familiar partners in South East Community Development Council to share an experience with 40+ beneficiaries from Tembusu Active Ageing Centre at the Singapore Zoo. This event was graced by Mayor of South East District, Mohd Fahmi Aliman and senior representatives from Citi.
