Regionally, we provided a $5M grant to the ASEAN Foundation for AI Ready ASEAN to reach 5M youth, educators, and parents to build AI literacy. In SG, local partner AI Singapore has reached 14K+ individuals. The AVPN AI Oppy. Fund empowers workers, MSMEs, and NGOs across APAC with vital AI upskilling. Locally, Hatch and Tagteam have trained 400+ individuals to future-proof their careers.
In SG, digital safety is paramount. We backed Bamboo Builders with a $2M grant to launch SG ScamWISE, protecting youths & seniors. Today the program has trained 20K+ beneficiaries, on track for 60K by mid-2026. Building on the success of the $15M APAC Cybersecurity Fund, we provided an add’l $5M to The Asia Foundation to launch student-led Cybersecurity Clinics in partnership with SG Poly & Temasek Poly – empowering students to lead cyber hygiene workshops for MSMEs, nonprofits, and at-risk communities.
To bridge the AI language divide, we awarded $1M to AI Singapore for Project Aquarium, an initiative that curates high-quality datasets for underrepresented SE Asian languages, inc. Burmese, Khmer, & Lao. By incentivizing local contributors, developers can build accurate, culturally aware AI models reflecting the region’s rich diversity.
