Hilton Singapore Orchard provides employees with opportunities to contribute to society such as organising immersion programmes for students with special needs and distributing food care packs to elderlies in need. We also embrace sustainability every day:
(a) Guest Rooms
• All lights automatically switch on/off when guests enter/leave the room. A motion sensor and built in thermostat adjust the room temperature to 24°C whenever guests leave the room.
• Eliminating Single Use Plastics o We use Forest Stewardship Council-(FSC) certified Cherry Wood key cards. Guests can also opt to use a Digital Key via their mobile phone o We have an in-house water filtration and bottling system, eliminating the usage of plastic bottled water throughout the hotel
• Minimising Waste o Sustainable stationery and digital options for communication materials are available. All paper products are FSC-certified or sustainably sourced recycled paper o Full-sized bulk bath amenities are used in place of single-use bath amenities
(b) Food & Beverage
• Some seafoods are Marine Stewardship Council- and Aquaculture Stewardship Council-certified • All packaging is sustainable
• Glass bottles and food waste are recycled daily (c) Meet with Purpose, a programme by Hilton to help integrate social and environmental considerations into events by:
a. Helping guests calculate the environmental profile of their stay
b. Offering climate-conscious menus
c. Making social impact opportunities available to guests
