Empowering Communities
We endeavor to deliver socioeconomic impact by providing the necessary jobs, services and capacity-building across our network and support economic development across the region. Across Southeast Asia, we continue to provide economic opportunities to approximately 1 million stakeholders within the digital commerce industry.
Environmental Stewardship
We strive to minimise the impact of our operations on the environment in the communities we operate in with strategies that lower our carbon footprint and reduce our material use of natural resources. Of note, 40% of greenhouse gas emissions were reduced from FY24 compared to FY23.
Singapore Initiatives
In Singapore, Lazada’s RedMart arm has been donating food items to various charity organisations since 2015. Specifically, this has helped Jalan Besar Community Club to set up a Love Connect Fresh Market to relieve cost-of-living pressures for more vulnerable households. We have also partnered with the People’s Association to support their various events, including their International Coastal Clean-Up Day which saw over 250 East Coast residents, partners and oil-spill workers coming together for a beach clean-up. Besides giving back to the community, our support for the various events has also gone a long way in helping to strengthen community building.
