Moody's
Established in 2002, The Moody’s Foundation directs Moody’s corporate philanthropy to organizations aligned with our focus areas, which contribute to stronger communities – and a brighter future – for people around the world. We seek to build a world where more people have access to opportunity and where everyone has the resources to grow and thrive. We’ve thus aligned our core business priorities to our Community Impact strategy, with a focus on supporting underserved communities while identifying new and innovative ways to leverage social capital.

Through our focus area of empowering small businesses, we are tackling social inequality by empowering entrepreneurs across the globe to grow their small businesses and uplift their local communities, as small businesses are more likely to have weaker access to markets, information, credit and networking opportunities than large business owners. In Singapore, we partnered WeConnect International and the Asian Venture Philanthropy Network to empower small business owners in the community.
Moody’s Community Impact team also engages employees through various initiatives to foster a sense of purpose, pride and belonging at Moody’s. Our initiatives this year included volunteering, pro bono programmes, non-profit board service, dollars for doers and matching gift programmes. In addition, each year in June during our TeamUp® Month of Service, employees across the organization give back to the community by volunteering their time. This year, our employees in Singapore helped clean the Marina Reservoir area, befriended seniors at a senior care centre, prepared meals at a food charity, and assisted a social enterprise in solving a business problem.
