Strengthening Our Communities – Volunteering & Service Learning
PayPal’s Community Impact program empowers employees to drive meaningful change by partnering with nonprofits to expand economic opportunity and strengthen communities. In Singapore, employees contribute through volunteering and skills-based initiatives. In 2024, employees delivered over 3,100 volunteer hours with 363 volunteers engaged. Through Skills for Good, employees provide pro bono expertise, strengthening nonprofit and social enterprise capacity while deepening employee purpose and engagement.
Giving: Community Impact Grants, Donations and Fundraising
Our employee-led approach ensures localized, high-impact giving. Since 2019, over US$424,000 has been deployed in Singapore. In 2025, we contributed ~US$60,000 in Community Impact Grants to local nonprofits. Employees further amplify impact through donations and matching, contributing ~US$54,000 in 2025 with a record 423 employees engaged.
Creating Economic Opportunity
We support entrepreneurs and small businesses through mentorship and access to networks. During 2025 Impact Day, 460 employees contributed 1,380 hours—building 80 wheelchairs and 40 bicycles, unlocking US$13,800 in charitable rewards, and generating US$6,000 for nine small businesses.
Impact Measurement
We measure community outcomes and employee engagement, with participation driving stronger retention and a culture of impact.
