Vice President & Managing Director, Commercial, Asia Pacific
Maha Guruswamy joined West Pharmaceutical Services in November 2025 as Vice President & Managing Director, Commercial, Asia Pacific. In this role, he leads West’s commercial operations across the region, working closely with customers and partners to deliver high-value containment and delivery solutions for injectable medicines. Maha’s entrepreneurial mindset, strategic vision, and deep understanding of complex regional markets underpin his leadership in driving growth, fostering collaboration, and strengthening West’s customer partnerships across the Asia Pacific region.
Maha brings over 25 years of executive leadership experience across MedTech, Life
Sciences, and Diagnostics, having held senior roles at GE Healthcare, SCIEX (Danaher), and Pentax Medical (HOYA), where he most recently served as President, Asia Pacific. Throughout his career, Maha has led large, diverse portfolios across the Asia Pacific region, driving commercial transformation, operational excellence, and innovation in precision medicine and diagnostic solutions.
Recognized for his hands-on leadership and ability to build high-performing, crosscultural teams, Maha brings extensive experience in commercial excellence, P&L ownership, M&A, Manufacturing, and R&D. Beyond his corporate achievements, he has actively mentored startups, bringing entrepreneurial agility to his corporate leadership.
Passionate about leveraging and adapting emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence to create smarter, more personalized, solutions that address evolving customer and healthcare needs across the region.
Outside of work, Maha is a proud Indian Singaporean residing in Singapore with his
wife and two children. He enjoys mentoring emerging leaders, exploring global cultures, and staying curious through reading, travel, and following emerging trends in technology and innovation. Maha is also an avid sports enthusiast and maintains an active lifestyle through regular workouts and fitness routines, which he credits for keeping his energy and focus sharp.
