The Ministry of Communications and Information (MCI) and the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) recently launched an online public consultation on the proposed amendments to the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and related amendments to the Spam Control Act (SCA). These proposed amendments aim to strengthen public trust, enhance business competitiveness, and provide greater organizational accountability and assurance to consumers, in support of Singapore’s Digital Economy.
AmCham organized roundtable discussions to gather feedback on the impact of the amendments and with the support and leadership of our Committee Co-Chairs, AmCham submitted input on behalf of our members to MCI and PDPC.
The strength of the Chamber comes from the collective voice of our business community. We welcome and encourage all our members to participate in AmCham’s advocacy efforts.
