AmCham CARES recognizes AmCham member companies in Singapore that have demonstrated a strong understanding of the link between responsible business operations and positive societal impact, and that conduct business in a way that creates both long-term economic and social value for Singapore. The program is a platform to benchmark, and share best practices, as well as encourage member companies to improve their current corporate social responsibility programs.
We were honored to host Her Excellency Mdm Halimah Yacob, President of Singapore as the guest-of-honor to recognize the 2019 AmCham CARES Awards recipients. The awards ceremony was part of our 46th Annual General Meeting and 64 companies were recognized and honoured.
The CSR programs were assessed on four main factors – communications, measurement, strategy, and sustainability.
AmCham CARES is not a competition. It requires companies to meet certain criteria with their pre-existing CSR programs.
The aims of the Awards are to:
- Raises awareness of CSR and corporate citizenship among AmCham members
- Recognizes firms with best practice programs;
- Gathers information about best practices to share with all AmCham members; and
- demonstrates continued AmCham leadership among chambers in Singapore.
