Casline would like to serve on the AmCham Singapore Board for multifaceted reasons rooted in professional growth, network expansion, and impactful contribution to the business landscape.
Response: When COVID first hit, I was based in China leading a business in the consumer health industry. As you can imagine, with limited information at that time, mounting cases and great uncertainty, there was a sense of panic felt internally in our company and externally.
In response, as an organization, we conducted risk assessment to understand the different scenarios possible and brace ourselves for the worst. Our unwavering resolve was to prioritize people above all else, and we undertook decisive measures such as providing medical supplies to safeguard our frontline team members and their families. Our focus also extended to supporting our community grappling with the pandemic. Our endeavours did not go unnoticed, as our commitment to the welfare of people garnered recognition even from the Red Cross Organization.
This experience reinforced my steadfast belief: keeping our people and community front and centre is not only a moral imperative, but also the cornerstone of sustainable business success.
